220. Steven Fielding - Learning from Adversity

Sitting down with Lance today for the Fit For Service Wednesday special, we have a fellow brother from Aubrey Marcus’ Fit for Service Fellowship, Steven Fielding. Steven is an experienced marketing and strategic communications professional with over 25 years’ experience. He currently serves as the Director of Content Strategy and Community Engagement at SAP Concur. Steven is an avid photographer and was also an executive producer on the web series, Business & Burgers. Since the Coronavirus pandemic shut down schools, Steven is homeschooling his two sons. This in itself has brought some challenges and also some lessons for all. Tune in to hear Steven share with Lance his life story, his struggles as a kid in boarding school and how his relationship with his parents spilled into his personal relationships.

Steven answers with, “This too shall pass.  Give yourself some breathing room.”

Lance Essihos

As an experienced veteran with adversity, Lance has faced some of life's most difficult challenges. Grinding his way through the hockey ranks to traveling the world as a bartender. Through his personal battle with drugs and alcohol for well over a decade, the tragic loss of his brother to suicide followed by the great loss of his father to cancer only a year later, Lance realized he had hit rock bottom. In the darkest of days, he made a promise to himself that he would create a new life, one that would make an impact and inspire the masses, leaving the world in a better place than he found it. Lance has made it his mission to facilitate the message of positive change through adversity and encourage people to see the light through the darkness of life's worst moments.
